I didn't know he was still around. :o
I loved his shows, although I've never heard of the last one. I don't remember much about what he cooked, especially after he got healthy, but I loved to watch him. The ones when he was drinking especially, lol.

I was in high school when the Galloping Gourmet was big, but my obsession with cooking shows had already begun & I remember him fondly from that time. My mom adored him, although she adored most anyone with a British accent. I remember his show from the 80's, and even though it was based on healthy cooking, it was still entertaining & not preachy. Glad to hear he's still around & doing well. :D

Yes, I was very young when I enjoyed him when he was in his heyday.
I too was surprised; wasn't sure if he was alive or dead, which is why I shared this.
Glad he's settled and content. Nice he can acknowledge going overboard at one point.

He & Julia were my firsts. Jeff Smith came later.
