Lisa is hanging in there. Lots of ups & downs since the post you referenced, & though she's not yet back to her old self, she's making progress. It bothers her having no energy as the biggest cooking holidays are upon us, but she is determined to beat this.

How are you, Carla? I know the worst fire danger is south of SB, but still ...

I am not so good. in an evac warning area... Or not. I'm south of the dividing line by about a half-mile.

I'd like a supertanker on the west edge all day, please.

My heart goes out to all already affected.

My heart goes out to you! This is so damn big; I have friends in San Diego area who were told to prepare for evacuation, and yet LA folks are evacuating there. Praying for a positive outcome; praying for rain.

I saw an article yesterday where some California official, I forget if it was the governor or a mayor or what, said this was the new normal. I guess they don't think it's going to let up. You may have to move out here Carla, there's a lot less to burn.

Some good news, for a change. Lisa posted this on Facebook today:

I had an appointment with my neuro-oncologist yesterday. A few days before my appointment my primary care doc sent me the notes on my MRI. Conclusion: nothing in my head looked worse or was spreading. We were thrilled. When we met with the neuro doc he looked at my last three scans. Then he said that he didn't agree that things were stable, my heart sank. No things weren't stable, they were better than stable, he said the tumor in my skull had gotten smaller since last August. He even pointed it out and you could see it. "This is great news" he said.

We were both so happy. To celebrate we went to Federal Hill and got a "grinda". I ate 1/4 of the gigantic sandwich and boy it was delicious.

I'm not sure if I posted here but my vision is finally back to normal after over 4 months of seeing double vision.

So I hope that I'm slowly turning a corner. I still have my off days, but there are more good days than bad. The medical marijuana has helped tremendously. It's pricey, but you can't put a price on feeling well.

Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts, and well wishes. I'm a true believer that the universe sends all that love back to me and I am truly grateful for it.
