i need a lead for something that's as cool as the programs you can get for iphones and such.

i keep a daily food log on a weekly planner calendar in my toolbox at work. however, to get any real data from it, i have to come home and scour various websites to match the foods i've eaten to the nutrition facts, and then rate my day.

these damn 28# have GOT to go!

IIRC, back when I kept track of such things ( ), I used FitDay, which seemed to be the gold standard among free trackers. But then I switched to SparkPeople, because it had more/better features. I don't know how the two compare nowadays, but I'd assume they're both very good. Check them out and see what you prefer. HTH!

hmm, the sparkpeople site DOES look a little cooler than the fitday. i'll sign up in the next day or two.

has it helped either of you?

I use fitday.com but I only use the free version. I don't know what sort of enhanced features they may have on the version you have to pay for.

Here are a few sites I use:

I used to be on sparkpeople but then switched to fataecret as their app seemed more intuitive with regard to entering food in the diet section (the app can scan the barcode on most food and drinks).

Thinking of checking out sparkpeople again just to see if they have improved.

Should we set up a gefp group on sparkpeople and other diet/fitness sites?
