Well....

I've been reading along. We love Shepherdstown, and as it turns out, a good friend of my sister's lives there. We were there last summer and eyed the Bavarian Inn but didn't go. There are LOTS of cute little places in the town.

No one is bringing small fry, though, correct? So that's a problem.... Will people be around for Saturday lunch, or off doing their own things?

And then an old friend from Canada e-mailed and will be around then, so I can't really make plans until I know what she's doing--she has a little guy I haven't met yet, so...

The Dynas are a maybe.

I'm going to leave here Friday morning and be there in the afternoon. I'm booked for Friday and Saturday night. HOPE to get a round of golf in, if there's any other players here. If not, I"m betting I'll find some way to amuse myself.

I plan to spend the day in town on Saturday. I've never been to Shephardstown, and I want to explore! Heck, maybe I'll even score a cab driver lunch.

My mom still hasn't discussed this with me, so I don't really have any idea as to what's going on with me or my family.

Since the drive is about 3 hours, its no different than driving to MD for a crabfeast.

So, it looks like I may be joining you guys for dinner, and as usual, (if it's ok) I will be bringing the mini-vickys.

Haha, I fly standby because that's how I get to fly through Alaska...but I'll get there. I'm planning on renting a car at DCA and driving to Shepherdstown.

I'm going to be a no go. There have been some some things happening throughout the company and I may be off in another city taking care of some things.

Come down to Texas...that's something DanC and I have been talking back and forth about.

Perhaps this could be the next big visit...Let's do it in August when the weather's particularly nice in Tejas.

Central location, should be nice weather. Tena's place is perfect for a BBQ.

We're hosting a cocktail party in our suite on Friday night, then I thought we'd wander over to the rathskeller for dinner. Saturday, I suspect there would be goodies left over (and liquor) from Friday so I though drinks in the Presidential suite before dinner.

As for Saturday day, I think part of it depends on the weather. I hate events like this where every minute is planned out since I go to these things to relax and have fun so I don't want to choreograph every waking moment. All the briner meets seem to have been the most fun when everyone just hung out and did stuff spur of the moment.

If anyone has better ideas, run with them.

One thought, they have a pretty good wine cellar. I can see if they do wine tastings or if there is a winery in the area that could be toured.
