Well, of course. I was glad to do my part. You all fed me even though I showed up way late, foodless, and drippy wet.

I've talked to Tena on this actually. Unfortunately, we reserve memorial
day and labor day weekend to visit Jugglergirl's family in Lincoln, NE.
Although i do really want to mess in Tena's kitchen for a while :) I can't
complain too much as Itchyfoot graciously cleaned up the place while we
were at work the next morning.

Traditionally, Memorial Day is May 30th, which is the next weekend
after Tena's Memorial Day (observed) weekend event. :?
So you could do both. Just sayin'.

Damn it! I would, but not one of the Hotels you listed has a restaurant and a bar in it....

And a suite equipped with such....

That would be a pretty lame excuse, even if it was true, but the Holiday
Inn has a bar and restaurant. That shouldn't be an issue, though. :? There will
be mounds of excellent food and jugs of lovely beverages available at Tena's
BBQ Bistro, and other nearby gathering spots.

Not just the lovely Tena. She has friends. 8)

And frankly, what I have observed of these Briner women, particulalry
the ones who gather in the Dells*, is that they can get a bit out of control
without the civilizing influence of Briner men. They need us more than
they want to admit.

* The same bunch is coming to Tena's

So, we need to be there to keep things under control?

To restrain those who get out of hand.

Of course I'm planning to attend this briner meet - after all, the Dells meet was hella-fun - and this time I'm also planning to BMOC (bring my own Christmas).

Ladies, you can thank me later... ;)

I knew if anyone could convince Jean-Claude to show up, it'd be you, Erin. 8)

I've been lurking longingly in this thread for a while. I really would LOVE to go and see Tena (*waves at Tena*) and her home improvements for real and meet some other new folks too, but don't know yet if I'll be able to swing it with anniversary plans and child care.

Mostly I'd just love to hang with the girls and cut loose. Are us frumpy old married women still allowed to play?

Tena, sounds like a great party weekend. If it can't happen for me this round then I will be very jealous but see y'all in the Dells for sure. I'll let you know by May 1.

beenie will have to chaperone to keep all you single ladies respectable for all those rip-roarin'...tea parties.

Hahahaha! That's exactly what I was thinking.

And folks, this is on a holiday weekend, which means the hotels around here typically fill up. If you're planning on coming you may want to consider booking your hotel room fairly soon. Granted, if you don't get a room I have plenty of floor space, I'm just sayin'.

Ya Kellie!!!

Where are the Briner Men?! We have Kinsley, Pari, Grovite and possibly Geoff and Devaldez. Surely there has to be more men wanting to consume meaty goodness. Distance is no obstacle, if Kinsley can do it, anyone can. And for chrissakes, Radscientist is actually talking about riding his bicycle here.

Eye, you need to request this day off. Between Jules and myself we will come hog-tie your ass and drag you to KC if we have to.

Parrothead?

I know I'm not mentioning many people who live in the general vicinity, if I did that this thread would be huge. If you are even remotely considering attending speak up! The more the merrier.

Emphasis added. In fact, I'd like a re-do from my last visit, Eye. I have a friend in your neck o' the woods that I'll hang with, then I'll rent the party-bus, grab ya' and we'll carpool over to Tena's.

Fair warning - it may mean you have to hang with a bunch of briner gals at a spa ......... ya' poor dear 8)

Charles lives in Kansas City. We got to know him when he was in DC, on
a National Guard training detail, 4 years ago. He resurfaced briefly about
a year and a half ago when he was in DC, training again. He had just
gotten a full time job in "Military Intelligence". 8) Actually I'm taking it
on faith that he goes back to KC when he leaves DC. Maybe that's just
his cover story.

Jean-Claude is the photographer who traveled the asphalt with AB. He was
