I've been procrastinating answering this call in the hope that my plans would crystallize, but no such luck yet. I could be in Austin, home without a car, working at the MiL's all weekend, or completely available. So that's what, a 25% chance? I'll check-in/let you know if it turns out I'm free.

Looks like it's going to be a blast with tons of good food (even without me! ;)). Hope it's way fun.

No, but a visa would be good. You coming out?

MasterCard ok ?

Arriving Baltimore late Fri Sep 19 /
return to MI late morning Sun Sep 21
Southwest.

Looking forward to the visit

I'm about 30 minutes north of BWI, and I'll be cooking Friday night if you want to come on up.

Thank you for the offer, but the flight arrives at BWI at 9:45 pm... a bit late...

But I will come out the the picnic site early & help where needed.

No kegs planned, but there will be beer, water and sodas. I might even fire up the margarita machine!

11 days to go!
We have 20+ at this point so you might want to throw a lawn chair in your trunk if you have room.

I'll have some ice tubs for cold sides, some chaffers for hot sides, and a bunch of serving utensils, so there's no need to bring serving spoons and such. In case of rain there will be a tent.

Sadly, I will not be able to attend the q fest.

I will be performing that evening in Bristol PA with the ex drummer from White Zombie.

Perhaps I shall join all of thee at the next east coast briner gathering.

Phil...although he prefers to be called "Philo" for some oddball reason. I'm getting a bit worried though. He hasn't contacted us since we sent him a CD of our material. I'd like to have at least 1 practice with him before hand.

Next time you have one of these shindigs, can you make it closer to me? I'd like to go. I don't eat much.

It's got to be less than a 2 hour drive for you. People are coming from New Jersey and Michigan.

Long range weather for next Saturday indicates Partly Sunny and 75 - should be a perfect day.

I am! I just finished making sauce and rib rub, and I'm leaving in the morning to set-up and fire up the cooker tomorrow night!

Weather on Saturday should be absolutely stunning - Mid 70's and sunny :D

Beans are almost done. Got home from a wedding at 1AM and got them in the oven around 2. Yanked them out at 9 and they were still a little soupy so I'm letting them go another hour without the foil seal around the lid. Smells so damn good in here. :)

It was a great party. The weather was perfect & the food & company even better. And the meat  ! I probably ate more meat than I normally average in a week; fabulous ribs & pulled pork, hog wings & brisket that melted in your mouth. Best part is there were leftovers for everyone. The sides & deserts were awesome as well: Babylon1023's beans, Missimessi's poundcake & Vickatina's koolicles, to name just a few. It was great seeing SDP, KittyFixer, Vickatina, & Missimessi again, and meeting Geimerst, Rockford 10, Babylon1023 & Wifey for the first time. The Mini Vicks made excellent pit slaves. Geimerst took pictures.
