Experimental fruit punch emphasis on the pow

Postby Sharona » Sun Sep 13, 2009 9:08 pm

My husband was in an experimental mood, I asked for "something fruity", and he played around and came up with this drink which is yummy and does not taste at all like it is so loaded with alcohol:

4 parts papaya nectar (Knudsen bottled stuff from the grocery store organic section)
2 part white rum
1 part Cointreau
1/2 part Galliano
1 part banana liqueur

He threw it into the martini shaker over crushed ice and served it with a flourish.

OMG yum. If you are into sweet, fruity drinks, that is (the bartender wasn't that bad, either). And *pow*. Watch out, this one doesn't just creep up on you, it does so with a mallet in hand.
