Unnamed experimental cocktail

Postby Sharona » Fri Apr 29, 2011 11:08 pm

My husband was experimenting tonight with some pineapple rum we purchased after coming back from Hawaii ... he came up with this. It's one of those almost-punch type things that does not taste like it has alcohol in it.

(Parenthesis show the specific brand/variety we used)

2 parts dark rum (Cruzan 2yr)
2 parts pineapple rum (Captain Morgan Parrot Bay)
2 parts pomegranate juice (POM)
1/2 part sweetened lime juice (Rose's brand)

The lime counteracts the lollipop-candy impact of the pineapple+POM-juice combination and lets the fruity come through.

Sounds good. I would just keep making them and consuming them until a name came to mind. This could be a committee effort.

That gives me an idea for tweaking something of my own :)
