QOTD 9/4: Are you ready for some football?

Postby Chef Mongo » Tue Sep 04, 2012 12:53 pm

The NFL regular season begins Wednesday!

So, which team is your favorite? Which one do you HATE (Hint: The Cowboys is the right answer.)

What do you like for game-time munchies?

Go Colts! And while the hateworthiness of the Cowboys is beyond dispute, I have a special place in my heart for the Pats.

The San Francisco Giants!!!

Oh wait . . . you said football. I don't "do" football. And I don't think its time yet to talk football. Baseball isn't over. :snooty:

But for game time eats, regardless of sport, I like sunflower seeds, in the shell, and popcorn. Beer too. And usually a homemade sweet treat like cookies or brownies!

Play ball!!

I'm an Eagles fan (Hi, Auntie Buttah!) and so of course hate all things Cowboy. I'm not fond of the Patriots or Falcons, either.

Game time for me means tubular meats, preferably brats with stout mustard or some good grilled dogs with Slawsa, my new favorite condiment. :)

 I'm a baseball fan, too, Lucy.

I'm a Philadelphia Beagles fan, kind of half-heartedly lately, due to our QB & Coach, but a loyal fan nonetheless. (Also like the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC & really like Flacco, since he's a U/DE man). I try not to hate, but the Cowgirls make that difficult. Buffalo wings are my munchie of choice for football (Hooters, please).

Go Chargers. It's been a sad couple years but I still love them. I also root for the Texans. They are slowly building themselves into a decent team.
I hate the Raiders & the Cowboys.
I don't do a lot of munching during games. Just need a soda and I'm good to go. Except Superbowl but that's another thread. ;)

NOT a big fan of football. But will check in on scores when Eagles are playing. If game starts at 1... should be near end by 3:30 or so. If it starts at 4... 6:30 is about when I check in. If score is close, MIGHT watch end. I know it'll never happen, but would probably watch if four 15 minute quarters rand an hour plus commercials. A "2 minute warning" can run a half an hour!?!

I'm a die hard KC CHIEFS fan, and a card carrying member of Raider Hater Society.

Eats varies depending on my mood, but it almost always comes from the grill. Also do snack foods like chips, salsa, cheese & crackers, raw veggies.........

Another CHIEFS girl here. I love cream cheesy dips or roll ups, wings, nachos, and I won't turn down hot dogs or pizza if offered! Alas, I think my burger wanting days are few and far between (curse you summer vacation food poisoning!)

Made a variation on pepperoni bread to take to next door neighbor for a super bowl party a few seasons ago. He's a GREAT guy who has done TONS of stuff for me without me even asking. Instead of rolling up pepperoni, provolone and the like... I smeared taco meat and tons of cheddar cheese before rolling it up. It was a hit.

This. Not so much the Giants (so disappointed in Melky) My favorite seasons are Baseball season and whenever football isn't played.

The Carolina Hurricanes! What? Oh. Wrong sport...

The Buffalo Bills are my team, and if the Jets and Pats can go 0-14-2 each (tying each other 0-0 both times they play each other) I will be a very happy man.

I don't like pro football. Even going to the games isn't much of a thrill.

I do enjoy a good college game. Go BUFFS!
